Wet n Wild- Dancer is the best Reindeer

Hey all!

So sorry about my lack of posts but life and that bitch hurricane Sandy got in my way! I live on staten island so it's a bit of a disaster still over here, luckily the family I work for and me as well got out unscathed( except no hot water and electricity for a few days). We were pretty lucky, but we didn't have net for a bit and my network for my phone was pretty much a message saying Um no try again. They like to call it "searching" But I can not complain, I am alive and have a home.

Any hoo, I feel awful for the lack of posts on this blog, Gotta get it back to everyday status like it was last year! but Ill shut up for now, and post my lastest manicure:
It's an Iphone pic sorry! I didn't have my camera card so I couldn't take an pics! But I got it back yesterday but this manicure looks like some crazy person chewed it off...:shifts and whistles:.
Sorry when I get nervous, I chew my nail polish off. Sexy, I know.

If you are wondering this is one of the new Wet N wilds called Dancer is the best Reindeer and underneath it  is Raven by Zoya. An awesome cream black that is opaque in two coats.

Here is an upclose macro shot of Dancer :

How amazing is that?
Keep it up WnW!

Okay Back to work!

Christian Dior Trench

Hi everyone, long time no see!  I'm sort of back after a long hiatus.  I use sort of as I am still busy with work, online classes (yay went back to school to finish my degree!) and other things in life, but I did not forget you all.  I also was finally able to renew my pro Flickr account, so I'll be able to post a lot of past manicures I took photos of.   On to the Dior!

This was a birthday gift back in September from Aco-ne ("big sister" Aco.)

Part of Dior's nude line.  It's such a pretty color, it reminds me of Kirin's Royal Milk Tea but a touch darker with a slight pink undertone.

I've never had a color like this or a Dior polish before, so I'm super excited to try it out :)
Thanks for reading!

Zoya addiction...

Yes its true, I have an addiction to Zoya. I abstained from buying new zoyas for as long as I could, but I gave in and used my zoya love rewards and came away with Paloma, Fei Fei and Daul.  What can I say I am a lost cause!

Paloma is a gorgeous glossy burgandy color that I wore for about a day before I topped it off with Fei Fei. I can not even discribe how amazing this color is. Ive never seen another color like this, why cant other brands come out with shades like this? Chanel are you listening? What about you Mac?
I don't have the heart to trim the ring finger nail, it's the longest I have ever seen it grow!

I can't get over how amazing this color layering came out! I am so glad I got bored and did this, yay for boredom! But I must get going for now- dinner to cook!

I think I have an addiction to magnetic nail polishes. No, I do. I really do. I spotted the new sinful color magnetic polishes and I grabbed a gorgeous douchrome:

It's hard to see it but it has pink, purple and silver flashing through the bottle but the best part is the end result:

If you look closely you can see blue micro glitter, gorgeous! This has to be the coolest magnetic polish I've come across, I like how they are starting to branch out. I got tired of seeing the same variations of colors.

And I also like how they are getting a lot cheaper, this was 4.99$ compared to 10-15$ ones that I have been seeing. Another plus the magnet was really easy to use! Which is always a good thing!

But I must go for now!

A loved combo comes back!

I think  Nfu Oh 51 is without a doubt one of the most gorgeous polish colors I have ever seen, but I dont use it often because I don't want to get sick of it!

I love these polish that Renee bought me when she visited Saipan a few months back, it's this gorgeous magenta/dark pink, it also is the perfect base color for flakies!  As seen below:

Surfing paradise by Island girl Hawaii and NFU Oh 51#

Breathtaking isnt it? Modest? Me? Never!

Of course to finish it, a nice coat of Seche. Which is getting very low, and I am kicking myself for not buying another bottle when Renee found it for cheap. But off for me now!

Revlon Facets of Fuchsia

Hi everyone! After a long and fun summer, I'm back to blogging. I have a bunch of things saved to post, so keep checking in :)

Before I post this picture, I have an announcement to make.. my nails are no longer this long. After a trip to a (bad) manicurist, I had to cut them all off. She did such a bad job that a few of them started to peel, so I had to cut them all off and start over. ::sigh:: Ah well, they will grow back, it will just take time.

Now, one of my past NOTDs- Revlon Facets of Fuchsia. Please excuse the tip wear ^^;; I had to wait a few days for a sunny enough day for pictures. Usually I hate Revlon's formula, but this one was a WIN. Applied evenly, no pooling or dragging. Amazing black jelly color with fuchsia glitter, I can't stop looking at my finger nails. GREAT dupe for Bad Romance (as everyone probably already knows, though they changed the color name to scandalous now.) Revlon, you are really impressing me lately.

Mint Chocolate Fudge Mani / Canmake Nail Topping Coat Almond Crunch #05

Hi everyone, long time no post! I've been kind of busy lately, I'm currently on vacation visiting family and friends, and before that I had friends stay with me for a week so I've been running around non stop for over a month!  Finally I can post the mint chocolate chip mani that I did a few months ago and never had a chance to show off.

I started with Canmake Peppermint Cream #53.  Mint Green is one of the "it colors" for nails this season, so this color was perfect.  It took three coats to be even, but is very pretty!

Then to make the chocolate fudge, I used Sweets Sweets NL36.  Sweets Sweets is a Japanese drugstore polish, and they're pretty cheap at around $3 a bottle.  Their bottles are pretty cute, and I need to swatch this one on it's own eventually.  Maybe for fall.  On top of that I used Canmake Nail Topping Coat Almond Crunch 05 (which contains real almonds and shells!) I finished it off with black rhinestones on the ring finger and thumb.  I really liked how this came out, and got a few compliments from friends :)  What do you think?

Essie Bossa Nova

I took my aunt for a manicure and pedicure for her anniversary, at first I was just going to get a pedicure but when I saw how disgusting my cuticles had gotten I gave in and got a manicure as well. The place that I go to by my grandma's finally got new polishes, some OPI DS's and the new Essies as well. When I spotted "Lights" I oohed and aaahed but then I spotted "Super Bossa Nova" and grabbed it instead. For some reason I have been gravitating towards bright creme colors, it's not a bad thing per say but very un me!

I got a little nail art as well. I swear I could practice all day everyday and still not be anywhere as good as the woman who work there. They are so amazing! I watched as this woman did butterflies on this customers fingers. I practically had to wipe away the drool. Ah Erika..one day.. one day.

But this is a short one today, I'm heading to the Bronx to see my sister and preparing for this horrible heat wave we are having on the east coast..BLERG!

ELF four piece nail set -sold out!-

Smoking hot is the last one but the rest are equally as amazing!

I bought this on a whim a few months ago when I was placing an elf order. I don't own a lot of coral colors and for 5$ it wasnt a brainer. The stand out of the set is Smokin' hot. A gorgeous bright orangey red. I literally took about 20 pics, but this color refused to photograph properly. I do not know how people who can get the actual color photographed, did they go to a school for wizardry and witchcraft?

Here is mine:

I put my semi decent wanna be nail art skills to work and just did a few little white flowers. Amazing isn't it? :not:
But as you see, the color is no where as amazing as it looks in the bottle. Renee and I should start a support group called "We can never get our nail polish to look as amazing on film" WCNGONPTLAAOF for short. I kid!
Kinda.

I have so many polishes that I need to swatch! And guys please there is only one more day till the giveaway.. so please enter!!!

APL giveaway!

But I must go for now!

Thanks guys for the support, you rock!
